Parkview is affiliated with the United Methodist Church, a global denomination with around 12 million members. Our church falls within the boundaries of the West Ohio Conference. We are guided by the leadership of Bishop Gregory V. Palmer.

Rev. Nancy Day-Achauer
In 2005, Pastor Nancy left a successful career in Corporate America to answer God’s call to ordained ministry in the United Methodist Church. She sold her home in the San Francisco Bay Area and moved to Delaware, Ohio to attend the Methodist Theological School in Ohio. Upon graduation in 2008, she decided to stay in Ohio and serve the West Ohio Conference.
Pastor Nancy has served rural, suburban and urban congregations with the majority of her ministry being spent on Columbus’ Westside. Since 2012, she has also served as a community advocate addressing local issues including the opiate epidemic, senior services, food insecurity, homelessness and affordable housing. By collaborating with others, Pastor Nancy is able to do ministry beyond the doors of the church to improve lives in the broader community.
Her ministry to the community includes work with the following organizations:
Homes on the Hill
Member of Board of Directors 2021 – present. A not-for-profit community development corporation that develops affordable housing for low to moderate income individuals and families and provides HUD approved homebuyer education, renter assistance and eviction and foreclosure prevention programing.
Prevention Action Alliance
Member of Board of Directors and Executive Board 2021 – present. Statewide not-for-profit organization dedicated to preventing substance misuse and promoting mental wellness.
Prairie Township Community Health Action Team
Co-chair and Founding member, 2014 – present. Participant in coalition of community partners working to improve the health and wellbeing of the Prairie/Westland community with wellness programs.
Prairie Township Produce Distribution
Co-Founder & Co-Organizer, 2016 – 2022. Provide free fresh produce to people in need, once a month all year round. Transitioned into a fresh market in May 2022.
Westland Area Commission
Chair of Public Health and Safety Committee, 2014 – 2022. Create and maintain community resource guide for people in need and promote public health initiatives. Review zoning requests and liaison between community members and City of Columbus.
Columbus Rotary
Member 2019 – present. Member of the Student Service Above Self Committee and OSU Veteran Student Coaching & Mentoring Committee.
Mid-Ohio Board for an Independent Living Environment (MOBILE)
Member of Board of Directors 2021 – 2022. Not-for-profit organization providing peer support and assistive devices empowering independent living for people with disabilities.
United Westside Coalition
Co-Founder & Chairperson, 2016 – 2022. Organize grassroots movements to address community issues through programs such as the Hilltop Seniors Service Initiative and opiate prevention and education events including Westside Community Leaders Opiate Education Conference, Stop Our Opiate Epidemic Town Hall Meeting, and Recovery Is Possible.
Columbus & Franklin County Addiction Plan
Member of Prevention and Education Sub-Committee, and Healthcare & Harm Reduction Sub-Committee 2017 – 2020. Work with agencies and organizations located throughout Franklin County to combat overdoses and the drug addiction.
Franklin County Opiate Crisis Task Force
Prevention & Education Committee and Speakers Bureau 2016 – 2017. Created and delivered “Heroin 101,” a presentation created in partnership with local health providers, facilitated community naloxone distributions, represented Franklin County faith and community leaders at statewide governor’s roundtable.
Jordan’s Crossing Resource Center
Steering Committee Member 2017 – 2019. Worked with members to open homeless resource center, create partnerships with health and human service providers, and obtain resources to promote community well-being.
Greater Hilltop Area Shalom Zone
Corporate Member 2012 – present. Provide organizational oversight of community based urban renewal program.
Westland Area Business Association
Chairperson 2014 – 2017. Organized Discover Westland business expo and Independence Day Parade, further organization’s mission to support local businesses and promote commitment to the community.
